Black History Month

Join us as we focus on the legacy of faith, vision, perseverance, and purpose that has been handed down from past generations.  As we celebrate the history and contributions of African Americans, we are also reminded by Rev. Angela Roberts Jones, (Fisk graduate) that “if our ancestors could endure and achieve in spite of their circumstances, then surely we can have the kind of faith that will move mountains.” Special worship engagement experiences this month include:

February 5th –  Black History Observance Litany; “Souper Bowl of Caring Offering”' Favorites Sports Attire.

February 12th – Special guests from Grace de Dieu Ministry. African attire

February 19th – Contributions in Education'  School attire

February 26th – Special music worship: From Slavery – Contemporary Civil Rights. Come as your favorite African American historical figure.  Time will be allocated during worship for highlighting/sharing the story of the individual or groups that you represent, and their contributions to the world!
