UPDATE ON CONSTRUCTION AROUND FIRST UNITED
Charlotte Center City Partners convened a meeting with CATS and the City back about six months ago to share information about the construction impacts related to the Blue Line Extension, the Blue Line Capacity Expansion, and First Ward Park. All three of these projects are progressing on time and our partners at the City and CATS have worked hard to mitigate the disruptions that these exciting new projects present to us now. We are still a few months out from seeing a closure of 7th Street (that will probably happen late summer), but we will see the 7th Street station area under construction during the month of April for the Blue Line Capacity Expansion project. The station will remain open, but there will be construction activity in the area for around 40 days starting April 1st. We will continue to share periodic updates as new information becomes available. Click HERE to see a more detailed construction update.

NOTE: There will be a closure of 7th Street on Saturday, March 28th for unrelated crane work on the Charlotte Housing Authority building. Detours will be signed and this will only be a one-day closure.
