"Celebrate Pink Sunday, April 27 2014, Give Generously". Pink Sunday is an effort to raise awareness about breast cancer. Churches will receive educational information from the Charlotte Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure which discusses risk factors and the critical role of early detection in saving lives from breast cancer. WEAR PINK on Sunday to show your support, to honor those who have lost their battle with breast cancer, and to celebrate survivors and their courage. Share with your friends, family members and neighbors the life-saving message of early detection!

First United Presbyterian Church will join in celebrating Pink Sunday, April 27th, followed by a reception in the Library. If you are a survivor and would like to share your story, or if you would like to celebrate a survivor, or to honor someone who has lost the breast cancer battle, please sign in and leave your information on one of the pink clip boards in the Church entrance or the secretary’s desk. If you are a cancer survivor other than breast cancer, and would you like to be listed on a survivor tree in our church, please also list that information or fill out a tag and either put it on the green survivor tree or if a breast cancer survivor please fill out a tag and put it on the pink tree.

We are planning for a diversity of perspectives to be shared in love and respect for each other.

Are any among you sick? They should call for the elders of the church and have them pray over them, anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord. — James 2:14

Here at First United, we take our needs to the Lord in prayer. We know that prayer works, and we trust in God and hold fast to His promises. If there is someone you would like added to our prayer list, or if you would like someone taken off our prayer list, please contact the church office at 704-376-8014 or send your confidential prayer requests to prayer@fupcc.org.
